| Jan is the Flash artist that makes Dette's lovable characters come to life. A practicing artist from the age of 8, when she first started drawing with 'Learn to Draw with Frank Webb', a kid's TV show from the 50"s. (Yes, she's that old, a mother of 3 and grandmother of 4). Jan met Dette over the internet when both ladies belonged to a Talent Based Website displaying their art. Dette's 'mischief' of Rodents captured her attention, and in an instant she recognized these winsome characters were begging to be animated. |
After approaching Dette with plans to make her creations come to life, and seeing the assorted Flash cards she'd made for family and friends, Dette agreed this was spot on and a pretty cool idea. When Dette saw the first card Jan made, (Rodents in Love), she was convinced they shared the same sense of the ridiculous and a bond was formed. Since Jan was resolved to never meeting another person on this planet who shared her oddly deranged humor, she was delighted... and the story began.Jan lives in a now defunct Copper Mining town, in Northern Nevada. Dette lives in small rural village in Hampshire, England, both areas steeped in history of very different origins. The fact that they met at all is pretty amazing, and shows what a global community our Earth has become. Our goals are to make the world a better place through laughter, reminding us all just how freeing it is to be silly, and ridiculous. Jan is retired after years of working, appreciating how important it has become to her creative flow, and wishes the same for Dette, who is still a working mom. |
